Listing photos: an eight-picture plan for used items
Show the real item, its useful details and visible defects with a simple photo sequence buyers can understand.
Prepare a clear main picture
Place the item in even light against a simple background. Use a photo you took of the actual item, with enough space around its edges. Remove unrelated objects and private papers from the frame. Avoid filters that change colour or hide wear. For the first two pictures, show the whole item from the front and from a second useful angle.
Use the remaining pictures to answer questions
For pictures three and four, show the back and the main controls or working surface. Use five for a model label with private identifiers concealed, and six for all included accessories together. Use seven for the most relevant size or connection detail. Use eight for visible wear or damage. If there are several defects, show each rather than treating eight pictures as a strict limit.
Review what the images imply
Check the pictures at phone size before uploading. Every included item shown should agree with the written description; label demonstration props as excluded. Do not use stock or generated images as evidence of the used item’s condition. Retake blurred pictures and keep the originals. Update images if the condition or package changes before sale.
