Keep listings accurate: availability, questions and sold items
An accurate listing reduces wasted conversations. Review what buyers see whenever the item, price or availability changes.
Turn repeated questions into clearer information
If several buyers ask about the same dimension, accessory or fault, add the factual answer to your existing description. Keep private messages and personal details private. Update photos when they no longer represent the package. Do not invent interest, competing offers or scarcity to make an unchanged item appear more desirable.
Make availability explicit
Before agreeing a viewing, confirm that the item is still available and state any collection limits. If you have promised to hold it for someone, agree a clear time with them and avoid conflicting promises to others. When temporarily unavailable, use the listing controls where appropriate and check the public result rather than relying only on an old conversation.
Close the loop after the sale
After the transaction is actually complete, update the listing through your account so it no longer invites new enquiries for an unavailable item. Keep your own record of what was agreed. For another distinct item, create an accurate new listing; do not recycle a sold item’s description into a different product or create duplicates to occupy more search results.
