Tablet or laptop for study: compare the complete setup
Start with the tasks and software your course needs, then compare the total equipment you would actually buy.
List tasks instead of choosing by appearance
Write down how you will submit assignments, join calls, read documents and use specialist applications. Check with the course provider when software requirements are unclear. A mobile app may differ from its desktop version. Try creating and exporting a small sample file in the format your course requires before deciding that either device covers all your work.
Compare complete bundles
Include the keyboard, pen, case, charger, adapters and any application subscription you would need. Verify accessory compatibility by exact model. Compare storage you can use and the connections needed for presentations or an external screen. A lower advertised device price can become a different total once essential missing items are added.
Rehearse a normal study session
With permission, try typing while reading a document, switching between your main apps and making a short call. Consider screen size, carrying weight and where you will charge. For a used device, separately inspect condition and account transfer. Choose the setup that completes your actual tasks; this guide does not rank models or claim measured performance.
